Ten New Year's Resolutions We Can All Agree On

Guess who climbed her way out of her busy, anxiety-riddled, and most recently sick hole?  This girl!  I figured since I haven't posted in about a week that I should muster up some creativity and post one more blog before the end of 2016.

With 2017 around the corner, everyone's getting together their lists of resolutions (if you're into that kind of stuff).  I've never been one to be dedicated to making resolutions because I'm honest with myself and I know I'll just forget about them come February.  BUT! I have compiled a list of New Year's resolutions that you just have to admit are very true. Number 4, though....

1. Be more organized.  We pin, pin, pin all these cute organizing "hacks" and tips, but do we really do them? I'll admit it for you: nooooo.

2. Clean out the closet.  You don't need that tank top that you've had since senior year of high school.  It's tough to let go of the ~memories~ that come along with old clothes, but if you haven't worn something in years, you probably aren't going to. (But I've also kept a shirt I didn't like and have never worn in years, but now I love and wear a lot... so... I don't really know what I'm trying to advocate here.)

3. Delete your ex's phone number from your phone.  If you haven't done it yet, January 1st is a good time to do it.

4. While we're at it, just purge your contacts list in general.  Who really goes through their phone on the reg and deletes numbers of people they don't talk to anymore?  Am I the odd one out?  I've kept numbers for so long that I don't remember who some of these people are.  My contacts list definitely needs a cleanse.

5. Gotta add the typical one:  be healthier/get back in shape/go to the gym.  But like, starting in February when the gym isn't crowded with the New-Years-resolution people.

6.Get gas in the car before it reaches "E".  The umbrella resolution for this is just to stop procrastinating so much.  But we'll worry about that later.

7. Treat yo'self more.  2016 was rough, y'all.  I think there should be a Treat Yourself day every month in 2017 to make up for it.

8. Finish all those TV shows you started.  Raise your hand if you've started a TV show (or more) while still in the middle of binge-watching at least two other shows.  Yep, your hand is raised.  Let's make 2017 the year we finally catch ourselves up.

9.  Finish one whole tube of chapstick.  Guys, it can be done! A whole year of constantly searching for it in my purse, thinking I lost it, actually losing it, and then miraculously finding it again, and my chapstick is finally empty.

10. DGAF about the haters.  If 2016 has taught us anything, it's that we can get through anything.

Like my boyfriend said, "No more of this promise shit, just do it." 2016 is going to be over and we're done "realizing" things now.  It's time to do things.

  1. Love these resolutions. I think we could even pick one a month to focus on. Happy New Year to you!

    1. Happy New Year to you, too. :) Taking a resolution one month at a time is definitely a good idea--sometimes having too many at once can seem daunting!
