The Wine Chronicles - Sunday Recap

Hello lovely people, it has been too long! November has flown by so quickly and I’ve had so much on my plate that it’s been hard to keep up with this blog! Working, wanting to being lazy, never ending to-do lists, and ignoring things on said to-do list… it all really tires you out. I feel like I have a lot to talk about so I’ll give you guys a quick recap of my week.

Sunday was my and Brian’s three year anniversary so we went to go see Moana (which I highly recommend you seeing! The story, the characters, everything about it is beautiful. I may or may not have teared up five times.). Afterwards, we walked around the mall to grab each other our gifts because lately we have become terrible at buying gifts for each other before the day of a holiday/anniversary/birthday/etc. I bought him some pants and he bought me the new Naked eyeshadow palette, which I’ve been having my eye on ever since it came out.

On Tuesday, a friend and I went to go see Anna Kendrick on her book tour.  I’ll talk more about that in a later blog post because I feel like she just deserves a post all to herself.  I am so happy that I randomly decided to look on Twitter that one fortunate day to see that she was selling tickets for her Scrappy Little Nobody book tour because I was able to bask in the light of her sassiness and talent and overall greatness.  But yeah, more about that later!

Who else is excited about it being December?! It’s been a hit or miss with me some years with getting into the holiday spirit.  Doesn’t that sound real depressing? I’ve always been excited for the holidays and I pump myself up for taking walks in the snow and sipping hot chocolate with a warm scarf around my neck and fuzzy gloves on my hands, but by the time winter comes around, I am a hermit who never wants to leave her blanket burrito.

However, I feel like this year is different.  I’m in a new city, it’s a new year, and I’m ready to get my Christmas on.  I bought a tree yesterday, you guys! My first ever Christmas tree that I’ve personally owned--and all for $27.  On a scale of one to ten on how much I’m excited to decorate for Christmas, I am the high note at the end of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas.”

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I am going to enjoy this cloudy Sunday, eat some chocolate, burrow myself in a blanket burrito, and read me some Scrappy Little Nobody.
