L'Oréal Foundation and Concealer Review

PSA:  This is just going to be me (a person who knows almost next to nothing about makeup) raving about stuff.

So let me tell you all a story.  I recently got a Target gift card from my parents because they think I can't feed myself, even though I've been doing pretty well so far.  Anyway, I took the free money and went to Target because I was in dire need of concealer because old concealer on its last leg plus hormones and pimples equals disaster.

In the makeup section, I didn't know if I wanted to go with my tried and true concealer by Revlon or try something new.  Thinking I should go out on a branch and do something different, I headed toward the L'Oréal section, which I don't normally go to because I just haven't had much success with some of their products?  Don't know why I decided to give it a shot this time, but I'm so glad I did.

Of course you can never go to Target and only get what you went there for.  I always have to get something else I don't technically need, but manage to convince myself that I do.  This time, it was the foundation.

The L'Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation is a liquid foundation set in a sponge, which comes in different shades for the three different undertones:  cool, neutral, and warm.  Thank God it shows you which undertone it's for because ya girl doesn't know what foundation is best for her and all she knows is that her skin of course has to be difficult and have a neutral undertone. This obvious labeling and organizing truly helped me out in picking a foundation.  Although I did stumble over whether to get the N2 or N3.5 foundation, I figured that since it is approaching Fall and that my tan is fading, it's better to pick the lighter shade and risk looking pasty rather than awkwardly tan if it doesn't match.

Look at this, though! Isn't it so cool?  I've never seen makeup like this before.  The best part is is that it goes on so easily! It has an applicator that you just dab onto the sponge to pick up some of the foundation and you pat it on your skin until you get the coverage you're looking for.  I'm always hesitant about applicators because I'm more of a brush kind of girl, but I have no complaints with this one.  It's not a real thick liquid foundation either, so my skin didn't feel oily or cakey even after applying it twice. So this product gets a thumbs up from me!

With the concealer, L'Oréal did it again and helped a sister out and paired up its concealer with the foundation, so I had no problem picking out the L'Oréal True Match Concealer that went with my specific foundation.  I do wish that it were a bit larger because I have a feeling I will go through it super quickly.  Other than that, the coverage is great, so it also gets a thumbs up from me!

If you're looking to try any new makeup products this season, I highly recommend trying either of these two, especially if you're a fan of lightweight to medium coverage!

Hope you enjoyed my quick rave.  I was literally bursting to tell someone about this because I was blown away by these products, so thanks for being my audience! What are some other products you have on your wishlist for this fall?
